Engineers from the NASA Langley Research Center unveiled plans to build a personal flying machine that would run on a set of electric motors. Jorge Ribas reports on the aptly named Puffin, which is still in the early stages of development.

And its really slow to land&lift those things because u hawe to stop in the air and that neeeds a lot of skill and room to do,And when u pull up u need to get your speed up in a wertical position to get it leveled…and that just waste of energy…ppl cant newer use those things in a large scale…Electric small planes would be much more efficient and could hawe nice range too..and fitted with an autopilot device that would help in liftoff&landing+an radar system preventing a midair crash

Indeed people does not seem to get it that electricity is NOT pollution free,far from it,like u said most of our electricity comes from powerplants that pollutes ALOT…And the batteries/accus that is needed to keep that thing in the air is full of nasty chemicals and makes a lot of pollution to make em… imagine thousands of personal planes in the air.Most carOwners dont ewen know how to drive a car properly…Solarpowered cars and ships is a much more safer and cheaper to produce…
